Daniel & Grace Tully & Family Health Center
Daniel and Grace Tully are longtime contributors to Stamford Health. Their devoted support of the Health system is recognized through their shared commitment to philanthropy and community service. They have instilled their passion for giving in their children, Eileen and Paul Ceglarski, Dan and Dianne Tully, Tim and Marrianne Tully, and Liz and Peter Berry – who have also generously donated their time and support for Stamford Health. The Tully Family has been benefactors for more than fifty years.
In 1966 Dan joined the Stamford Hospital Board of Directors and served as the Treasurer from 1970 – 1975 and has Chairman from 1975 – 1978. In 1992 he joined Stamford Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors and served as Chairman from 2000 – 2002. In 1994, along with fellow Foundation Board of Director Carl Bennett, he created and co-chaired the Corporate Invitational golf tournament (now the Carl Bennett and Dan Tully Invitational Golf Outing) to raise vital dollars for the Bennett Cancer Center. In 2003, Dan became a Director Emeritus of the Stamford Hospital Foundation.
In 1997, the Hospital ask Grace and Dan to consider making a lead gift for the upcoming Campaign for Stamford Health System to create a new outpatient center at the site of the former St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Grace and Dan agreed and Dan, who was about to retire as Chairman and CEO from Merrill Lynch & Company, asked Merrill Lynch to designate their contribution in honor of his retirement, to Stamford Health. The Tully Family’s contribution was recognized by naming the building on Strawberry Hill the Dan and Grace Tully & Family Health Center.
In 2016 the Tully Family agreed to once again make a substantial donation to Healing Reimagine – The Campaign for Stamford Hospital. This gift was one of 40 lead gifts and is recognized with the new terrace off the atrium/main concourse being named after them and the Tully’s are recognized on the Cornerstone Wall in the new Stamford Hospital.
Stamford Health is extremely grateful to the Tullys for their generosity, vision and leadership.
