The Stamford Hospital Foundation looks forward to hosting lively annual gatherings to bring our community together. You’ll see familiar faces and make new friends when you support the Hospital’s mission by attending our events. There are many ways to get out and have fun!
Hope In Motion's Walk & Run
Every June, Hope In Motion hosts the Walk & Run, one of Fairfield County's largest and longest running participant fundraising events. Over 4,500 participants, come together in downtown Stamford to celebrate life, comfort those living with cancer, honor survivors, and remember those who lost their battle with cancer.
The event includes a 10K and 5K timed run, and a 5K walk. Participants gather in the park for refreshments, music, free gifts from sponsors, demonstrations and family-fun activities. Proceeds go toward the Bennett Cancer Center.
Hope in Motion's Mini Events
Hope in Motion is community support in action and is our year-round fundraising initiative for the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital. Mini-events support the Bennett Cancer Center’s signature event the Walk & Run. Funds raised benefit the Cancer Center’s integrative medicine program, clinical trials, art therapy, and grateful patient programs. These funds are instrumental in supporting our patients, family members, co-workers, friends and neighbors.
Dream Ball is an evening of celebration and fundraising held to help realize the dream of a healthy community now and for generations to come.
The event includes dinner, dancing, a silent auction and a Giving Tree to benefit programs and services throughout the hospital community.
Club Chefs of Connecticut
A nonprofit organization consisting of executive and sous chefs from CT and Westchester County, Club Chefs of Connecticut focuses on networking and philanthropy.
The Club Chefs put their “best dish forward” in this annual gourmet showcase to benefit David’s Treasure Chest toy closet at Cohen Children’s Institute. This event is held the first Monday after Thanksgiving.
Paint the Town Pink
Sponsored by Stamford Health and other community partners, Paint the Town Pink includes a number of social and educational events which stress the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness month each October.
Invitational Golf Outing
Since 1994, the Carl Bennett and Daniel Tully Invitational Golf Outing has been pulling together foursomes to fundraise vital dollars in support of the Bennett Cancer Center. Under the leadership of Carl Bennett and Daniel Tully, the Outing has raised nearly $5 million for cancer research. The event has a limited number of foursomes, ensuring a well-paced and thoroughly challenging round of golf.
