Donor Recognition

Gifts made to Stamford Hospital’s annual year-round fundraising efforts include unrestricted and restricted gifts, tribute gifts, and participation in special events.

In addition, Stamford Hospital Foundation is currently in the midst of a number of multi-year renovation and expansion projects that will help advance the programs and services offered to our patients in the region.

In recognition of your support of Stamford Hospital we offer donors of gifts of $25,000 or more recognition and a naming opportunity.

Gifts of $25,000 or more may include one or more of the following:

• Select naming of a room or area
• Name displayed on a donor wall or plaque
• Invitation to Stamford Hospital Foundation events
• Inclusion in the President’s Circle

The Clason Guild was established in 1992 and bestows recognition to those contributors who choose to include our hospital in their estate planning. These individuals are recognized for their philanthropic caring with lifetime membership in The Clason Guild. Through their estate gifts, they help ensure the well-being of the community and underscore a commitment to the future and mission of Stamford Hospital.

The Guild is named for Judge John Clason who made a significant gift in 1892 to create Stamford Hospital. Judge Clason's request was ". . . that it provide the best possible treatment to all patients of the community regardless of race, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex or religion."

You are eligible to become a lifetime member of The Clason Guild by naming Stamford Hospital as a charitable beneficiary of:

• A bequest in your will
• A trust arrangement
• The establishment of a charitable gift annuity
• An insurance policy
• A gift of personal property

Benefits of membership include:

• Invitations to Stamford Hospital Foundation events including the annual Leadership Dinner
• Estate planning newsletters and seminars

In recognition of your commitment, your name will be included in published listings of The Clason Guild or you may choose to remain anonymous.

The Bennett Cancer Center’s Wall of Honor consists of Stars purchased in memory or in honor of a loved one, physician, nurse, friend, or caregiver. Your donation to purchase a Star will provide necessary funding for the Bennett Cancer Center to help renovate and expand current technology and facilities.
